Finally I have a day off. I was even calling it the best day off ever.
Unfortunately there’s always something waiting to thwart my expectations.
So despite my day being pretty bollocks, I did manage to learn how to knit a little (with assistance, thank you Julie).
Hopefully I’m on the road to making a SCARF.

Very soon I’m going to have to choose the specialism I’ll be studying for my remaining time at art school.
Art is about ideas, but also how the artist communicates them; the relationship between the creator and their creation, how they react and respond to each other.
Although I enjoy learning about new techniques, experimenting with mediums and formats, I really think I’ve always known that I wanted to paint. I love the way it looks, the way it feels.
Now just to get the rest of the faff out of the way.

I like mixing media; oil paints, inks and watercolours and then dry drawing materials - using the capabilities of both, making them work together.
I had a good old chuckle in Clinton Cards today browsing all the risqué Valentine’s cards, and other things…
